Jeremy Parkin

Jeremy Parkin brings over twenty years of experience in the fire service in both volunteer and fulltime departments. He has over twelve years of senior officer experience as a Deputy Chief, and now as Fire Chief of Rama Fire Rescue Service with the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. 

Jeremy is a longtime advocate for improved fire safety in Indigenous communities, and has advanced several important initiatives in support of this. His years of fire service instruction covered firefighter safety, firefighter training, officer development and emergency management. Alongside his core value of giving more than you take, Jeremy is actively engaged provincially and federally in diversity, equity and inclusivity committees seeking to bring balance in key fire service areas.

Jeremy is a proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte community in Ontario, Canada.
