Heather Drevna

Heather Drevna is the vice president of communications at Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), where she leads a team of communications professionals in promoting RAINN’s mission and resources, educating the public, and working with media partners to raise the visibility of sexual violence.

Heather has more than 15 years of experience leading dynamic and strategic communications campaigns in the health policy and government relations arenas. She has extensive knowledge of issues management and public affairs practices.

Before joining RAINN, Heather served as Group Vice President of Communications at the American Hospital Association, where she supervised media relations, advocacy and member communications, digital strategy, marketing, and internal communications, in addition to long-range strategic communications projects. Prior to joining the AHA, she worked as a consultant for the Advisory Board Company. Heather received her dual undergraduate degree in History and German from the University of Notre Dame and her master’s degree in Political Management from George Washington University.
