Ali W. Rothrock

Ali W. Rothrock is the proud Executive Director of First Responders Care. As a speaker and educator, Ali uses her 15 years of experience in the emergency services to inform all the work that she does.


Additionally, Ali is the Founder and CEO of On the Job and Off, which is an online learning platform that provides mental health and anti-violence education for the emergency services. Ali is passionate about her work on her local Critical Incident Stress Management Team as well as her work as a Behavioral Health Specialist volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps. Ali is a Certified Trauma Responder through the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, and has worked as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor. Ali has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology: Crisis Counseling. Ali is also the Eastern Division Trustee for Women in Fire.


Ali is the author of Where Hope Lives, a memoir that details her first few years in the fire service. Her second book on trauma recovery is being published in 2022. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband.
